Too sick for chemo...

For anybody keeping tabs, round five of chemo was scheduled for tomorrow, but has been postponed due to me being too sick to party. The sick came on sudden-like during family dinner Friday night. Felt kind of like trying to give birth through your mouth. Over and over again. Won't go into any more detail than that, but it was so not fun.

Hasn't been as bad since, but hasn't been good either. The doctor didn't want to whack me with the chemo drugs while I'm in this condition. It's tentatively scheduled for Thursday.

On a cheerier note...this evening Daniel was talking about his dream job, which led to his dream car, which led to mention of an Audi. Brandon asked what an Audi is, and his dad said it's a sports car. To which Brandon replied, "So it's not a belly button?"

Suzanne-
I'm desperately sorry that you are so ill. It sounds dreadful. You are such a normally cheerful person, that I know you are underplaying it as well. I never heard of anyone having so many rounds of chemo. You are in my prayers. And when I go to temple tomorrow I'll put you on the prayer roll. If a hearty laugh would do you good, go to http://allanandbuffy.blogspot.com to read a really funny post about my grandson. He just barely turned four and yesterday in sunbeams he interrupted the whole primary by saying, "We've got a problem and you've got to go find my mom so we can fix it." The primary teacher was alarmed. "What is it?" "I forgot my Book of Mormon." She laughed and tried to consol him. But he wouldn't be consoled. She finally had to go find his mother who was teaching Sunday School and get her book of mormon for him. That is just a taste of Jack. Hope it cheered you a little. The blog will have you howling.

Mom- I hope you feel better soon!! (aka today...tell your body I said that.) Brandon just cracks me up. That should definitely make the Reese Family Book of Laughs!

I'm so sorry about your mouth-birthing. It sounds sick-nast. Is it weird to hope you feel better soon so that you can start chemo? Feels weird.
But I do, I hope you feel better soon so you can go inject poison into your body. Yay!

Call if you want some company--I'm free on Thursday.

Hi Suzanne. Just blog browsing and came across yours. I'm sending prayers from Connecticut. I'm a 52-year-old recently laid-off writer, mom of 3, and just started a blog about "whatever." Take a look. My fav quote for the day:
"I eat my peas with honey. I've done it all my life. It makes the peas taste funny, but it keeps them on my knife." www.margaretpainter.blogspot.com Blessings, Margaret
